Equipment

All activities involve equipment and being properly equiped can mean a lot to your overall experience.

The correct equipment will provide you with lots of enjoyment, comfort and prevent activity related injury. We used and reviewed some of the equipment to give you an idea why we chose them.

Casio G'z EYE

Cool, Tough, Easy to operate camera

Firstly, we loved the super wide angle shots from this camera, 170 degree angle for video and 190 degree angle for stills which means that we won't need a selfie pole for most of our activities. Yeah! Less weight. The Casio G'z comes with loads of functions when coupled with an installed app, including timelapse, live viewing and shooting. It is also possible to download the chosen video/photos for easy sharing without the removal of memory card, which is especially useful when the camera is wet. The bright LED lights makes it easy to know if the camera is in normal operation, standby or slow motion mode. Those 4 big buttons allow easy operation even with winter gloves. The 3-axis anti-shake (with activation of "Strong" anti-shake Correction) provides a high stablility video which is especially useful for head and body mounted action video shots. In addition to the dust and shock proofing, the G'z has the capability to dive 50m underwater without a housing which makes it the perfect camera for our Freedive adventures.

Cannondale Quick Carbon 1

Quick get around city bike

Those who appreciate a no fuss, fast bike for the city use should check out the Quick Carbon 1 from Cannondale. Decked with a flat handlebar, the Quick Carbon provides a comfortable position especially when carrying a backpack for city commuting. The disc brakes are ideal for all weather condition and provide that stopping assurance on wet surface. We especially like using this bike as it looks simple which hides the high performance carbon frame from spying eyes.

ECCO ULTERRA

Gumba 2 Mid GTX - Men's Hiking Boots

Technical specifications aside, these Ulterra Mid GTX shoes provided good stability and support on uneven terrain with sufficient cushioning during our hike in Vietnam. What amazed us was the little, in fact no break in time needed for these shoes. Of course the GORE-TEX® waterproof construction kept our foot dry with the occasional splashes and muddy terrain. If you are ordering them online, you may like to consider purchasing them in 1 size smaller than your usual.
